Carlsbad, Calif. –– January 17, 2012 – Razer™, the world leader in high performance gaming hardware, is proud to announce that they have won four high profile awards at CES 2012.  Project Fiona, the first tablet designed for PC gaming, is taking home CNET’s “Best of CES” People’s Voice award, as well as two additional high profile awards. The Razer Blade, the world’s first true gaming laptop, was awarded as a 2012 CES Best of Innovations Honoree in the Gaming, Hardware and Accessories category by the show’s organizers.

“We at Razer are thrilled to take home these highly respected and sought-after awards,” said Min-Liang Tan, CEO, Razer. “We were very excited to introduce Project Fiona and show people how the Razer Blade is coming along at this year’s CES. We are blown away by the response; we feel incredibly validated and truly honored by these achievements.”

At the show, Razer unveiled their newest gaming concept design – the Project Fiona PC Gaming Tablet. Unlike other tablets designed for general use and casual gaming, Project Fiona is a tablet concept designed to play the most popular PC games of today with an intuitive control setup for a phenomenal on-the-go gaming experience. Razer worked closely with Intel to harness the power of its third generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor in the tablet. As a result, Project Fiona is more akin to a fully functioning PC – delivered in a form factor and platform that is highly familiar to consumers and gamers alike.

Introduced at PAX Prime in August 2011, the Razer Blade is a full aluminum chassis gaming laptop featuring true portability, incredible performance and an all-new revolutionary user interface designed for gamers on the go. Developed in partnership with Intel, the Razer Blade features a fast Intel® Core™ i7 processor and a high performance NVIDIA GeForce® graphics processor. The hardware was designed to run the most demanding games of today without sacrificing the laptop’s portable form factor. The Razer Blade also does not compromise on screen size as it comes with an incredible LED-backlit high-definition 17” display. It measures 0.88 inches thin, less than half that of current mobile gaming systems and weighs only 6.6lbs, achieving a balance between portability and performance – making it the world’s first true gaming laptop.
