Razer’s Google-Powered ‘Forge TV’ Is An Exciting Marriage Of Android And PC Gaming

At CES, Razer continues their methodical push into every corner of gaming with the unveiling of Forge TV, a micro-console featuring Google's Android TV. Don’t worry, given the pedigree of these self-proclaimed “mad scientists of gaming,” Razer’s also packing in a surprise for the hardcore PC gamers in the house.

Let’s start at the top, then. We already knew about Forge TV, just not by its proper name. Google announced the box at their annual I/O conference last year, choosing to withhold almost every detail. Now the picture is complete: It’s a $99 micro-console powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 (a Krait 450 CPU at 2.5GHz per core coupled with an Adreno 420 GPU), 2GB or RAM, and of course is anchored by Google’s Android TV.
